The Unborn Life Between the Cultures of Life and Death
Three decades ago, Pope St John Paul II warned that humanity stood at the crossroads between what he called the “Culture of Life” and the “Culture of Death.” In his encyclical Evangelium Vitae (1995), he observed that modern societies increasingly measure the value of human life by criteria such as utility, productivity, autonomy, or convenience.
